Clarence Maloney has served as a volunteer for Environment at Kodaikanal International School (KIS) since 2013, and helped establish the school’s Center for Environment and Humanity. After earning an MA in Social Studies from New York University, and a PhD in South Asia Regional Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, he has taught at several universities in the USA, and has worked for 35 years in development, across Asia. The author of ten published books on South Asia, including People of the Maldive Islands, he now lives above Lloyd’s Road.
